Wool Wiki Author-Hugh C Howey
Hugh C. Howey is an American author of several books, among them the Silo Saga (sometimes referred to as the Wool series, or Wool saga), and the Molly Fyde series (The Bern Saga). He first began the Wool series in 2011, writing Wool as a stand-alone novelette, publishing the work as an "eBook" through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing system. This gave him the freedom of self-publishing, and after popular demand quickly grew for a continuation of the series, he began to write more installments of it.

The Wool series has spent considerable time in the Amazon top 100,[1] has been a #1 Bestseller in Science Fiction on Amazon, and was optioned by Ridley Scott and Steve Zaillian for a potential feature film. The story of its success has been mentioned in Entertainment Weekly, Variety, and Deadline Hollywood among many others. Random House is publishing the hardback version in the UK in January of 2013.[2]
